We are now many months into the global pandemic caused by COVID-19 and the hotel industry has been brought to a screeching halt, but some have adapted to survive and risen through innovation. One such hotel group is the Ovolo Hotels with their Restaurant in Room solution – how to get some R‘n’R with R in R.
Restaurant in Room by Ovolo is available from Thu-Sat each week for a private dining experience for two people in one of their hotel rooms, with an option to occupy the room for the entire night as an add-on. The overnight stay includes Ovolo ‘Perks’ of free WiFi, mini-bar and breakfast the following morning.
Currently, the concept is being offered at the Ovolo Nishi in Canberra and Ovolo Woolloomooloo’s Alibi Bar & Kitchen, with further expansion to other Ovolo properties in Australia as we see restrictions lift.
Hotels are set to face a balancing act after the disruption of COVID-19, having to enforce new challenging measures to remain viable, adapt their service structure whilst still offering their customers options and choices. Hospitality has been hit by its fair share of disruptions this year but if businesses continue to adapt and evolve as the Ovolo Group have demonstrated, they will emerge more innovative and resilient, with quality service for its customers at its heart.
